Corporations, organizations and faith-based groups large and small support us in a number of ways:- Sponsoring a house
- Joining Habitat for Humanity Georgetown County as a corporate member
- Sending volunteers for team building
- Proving in-kind services and materials
- Sponsoring of special events
Sponsoring a House
A corporate partner may choose to sponsor a house at the full, 50 percent, or partial ($10,000) level. Ask us for details about our House Sponsoring Program.
Corporate Membership
An annual Corporate Membership enables companies to support HFHGC's mission of eliminating poverty and substandard housing in our community. Contact Emily Mobley, Director of Development, for more information at (843) 543-5477 or email Emily@HabitatGeorgetown.com.
Corporate Membership Levels:
$5,000 to $9,999 House Builder
$1,000 to $4,999 House Framer
Corporate Team Building
Local companies send their employees to work at Habitat for Humanity Georgetown County building sites to foster a stronger sense of working together for a common cause. At the end of the day, team members tell us they are surprised by what they've learned. To those who aren't used to swinging a hammer, the job they've done builds confidence. And the cooperation needed to build a house translates into great communication and true teamwork back at the office. Corporate house sponsors are eligible for multiple team building days. Team building days are available to non-sponsoring groups on a limited basis, and a donation is appreciated to help cover our expenses associated with providing professional supervision and materials for your group. To discuss arranging a build day at one of our construction sites, contact Emily Mobley, Director of Development, for more information at (843) 543-5477 or email Emily@HabitatGeorgetown.com.
Faith-Based Groups
Many religious organizations support the work of Habitat for Humanity Georgetown County through prayer, volunteering to help build homes, providing support through tithing or mission funds, and house sponsorship. Typically, groups (coalitions) of congregations, mostly based on locality, join together to build a home in Georgetown County. There are numerous ways for faith-based youth groups to become involved with a Habitat project including fundraising, participation in ceremonies and making or gathering house warming gifts for their Habitat family. For information contact Ophelia Snow at 546-5685 x 9 or VolCoord@HabitatGeorgetown.com.
***We are always happy to make presentations about the work of Habitat to mission fairs, committees, and education programs. Contact Emily Mobley, Director of Development, for more information at (843) 543-5477 or email Emily@HabitatGeorgetown.com.
